- Direct the strategy, planning, development, and execution for multiple operational risk programs
- Manage specialized teams across multiple operational areas and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Make decisions related to the development and implementation of strategic matters and business outcomes
- Oversee the execution and facilitation of the scenario testing of critical operations
- Monitor and report on resiliency metrics and progress against enterprise standards
- Ensure timely escalation of resiliency gaps and emerging risks to senior management
- Partner with lines of business to develop, validate, and maintain comprehensive Business Impact Analyses (BIAs)
- Oversee the development, documentation, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
- Lead the supplier management team in managing and monitoring several suppliers in engagements of behalf of the business
- Direct the Supplier Management Office (SMO) for Personal Banking and Commercial Banking ensuring lines of business are compliant with the Enterprise third party risk policies and standards
- Oversee supplier engagement, onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding processes on behalf of the relevant business lines
- Lead the first-line IT Cyber Risk team providing governance and oversight of cyber and IT risks
- Oversee the operational risk event (ORE) program across Personal Banking and Commercial Banking
- Lead strategic talent planning and development in conjunction with Human Resources
- Utilize data to drive insights into risks and control deficiencies and assist the lines of business and channels in the development of proactive mitigation strategies
- 12+ years of operational risk management experience
- Undergraduate degree / MBA
- Proven leadership experience and ability to work independently with changing priorities
- Strong knowledge of Personal Banking and Commercial Banking products and services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to build strong relationships across business functions
- Highly refined critical thinking skills, with an advanced ability to independently recognize problems, propose solutions and execute on them
- Technical expertise: Operational risk management frameworks, Archer
- Domain knowledge: Business continuity, third-party risk, IT/cyber risk
- Bilingualism (French/English)
