Description :Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in risk management and claims coordination within the construction or industrial sector? We’re seeking a motivated early-career professional to join our Calgary head office team. This role offers hands-on experience in workers’ compensation (WCB) claims, insurance coordination, and enterprise risk processes—with mentorship and career development built in.As our WCB and Risk Management Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our risk and insurance team. You’ll gain exposure to enterprise risk management, assist with claims coordination, and collaborate with teams in Safety, Legal, Insurance, and Operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn how structured risk management supports safe, efficient projects and long-term organizational success.What you will be doing
  • Support WCB claims management by coordinating documentation, communicating with adjusters, and tracking case progress through to resolution
  • Assist with reporting on organizational risk exposures and help maintain tracking tools and dashboards
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Safety, Legal, and Procurement) to support process improvements and supplier compliance initiatives
  • Help maintain risk management policies, processes, and documentation for continuous improvement
  • Participate in meetings with insurance and operations teams to understand how risk and safety intersect in a project environment
  • Learn to interpret claims data and identify potential trends or risk areas for escalation
What we would like from you
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, occupational health and safety, or a related field
  • Interest or foundational knowledge in workers’ compensation, insurance, or enterprise risk management
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with exposure to industrial and construction operations
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with case management or tracking systems is an asset
Location and other key details:
  • This is a full-time permanent position based out of our Calgary Corporate Office
  • The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with occasional additional hours as required
