In addition, we offer Drayage services, a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over short distances as part of the intermodal shipping process. This includes moving containers between rail terminals, ocean ports, harbors, warehouses, and storage facilities. Drayage is an essential part of a larger logistics operation, requiring precise coordination, safety awareness, and operational efficiency. Edge Transportation is growing and is currently recruiting for a full-time Yard Operation Coordinator to support our Regina terminal operations with a a Monday to Friday schedule. Scope of Role: The Yard Operatorion Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining efficient yard operations. This position is responsible for destuffing containers, moving trailers and containers within the yard, coordinating and dispatching outbound loads, and completing general operational paperwork. The successful candidate will be hands-on, organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics and intermodal environment. Scope of Responsibilities: Destuff (unload) containers and assist with material handling as required Move trailers and shipping containers within the yard using yard equipment Operate forklifts and top lift machines to handle containers and freight Spot trailers at docks and staging areas as directed Dispatch outbound loads and coordinate trailer movements Assist with shipping and receiving operations Complete required yard, dispatch, and operational paperwork accurately Maintain yard organization and cleanliness Load and unload trailers using proper load securement principles Actively promote health and safety through participation in Health & Safety Programs and Policies Safe operation of all equipment Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately What We Offer: Comprehensive benefit plan Competitive hourly rate On-site parking Family-like atmosphere Stable, year-round employment What You Bring: Experience working in a yard, terminal, warehouse, or logistics environment preferred Forklift experience is required Top lift (container handler) experience required Experience destuffing containers and handling freight Experience moving trailers and containers within a yard Dispatch or load coordination experience an asset Experience using MS Office Suite is required Strong attention to detail, follow-through skills, and organization Ability to multitask and cross-train within the department Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices Responsible for the safety of yourself and others at the worksite Reporting of unsafe conditions/incidents Class 1 driver’s licence considered an asset Valid class 5 driver’s licence is required All applicants will adhere to a company paid criminal record search and drug & alcohol screen We love diversity!
