This role focuses on optimal material delivery methodology of both automatic and manual delivery-ensuring production lines meet performance, no downtime due to material shortage and ramp-up in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop optimal Internal Logistics network for new Product Introduction and continuous improvement projects for following material delivery strategies which will include but not limited to:
- Tier 1 Module delivery
- Sequence commodities
- Kitting Strategy
- Bulk Delivery and Small Lot
  • Perform long lead or front end engineering for logistics processes which includes estimating automation, surface area, docks and equipment requirements.
  • Support program team with special studies for cost justification.
  • Present the station readiness plan to steering committee and to the customer.
  • Present the logistics and station design to the core launch team which will include product, engineering, industrial engineering and operational team members
  • Lead simulation and bottleneck analysis to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate
  • constraints.
  • Provide direction to Station Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to implement
  • design and process improvements.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) workshops and lean manufacturing
  • initiatives.
  • Track and report launch metrics including cycle time adherence, first-time quality, downtime, and
  • throughput performance.
  • Support pilot builds, tool tryouts, and process validation during pre-production phases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline) or
  • relevant work experience in logistics engineering for high volume manufacturing companies.
  • 5 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for line layouts and analysis.
  • Experience with warehousing and material delivery strategies including automation and AMR
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
