- Coordinate the build of test specimens.
- Set up and manage data acquisition systems.
- Process and analyze data collected from tests.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding test results and progress.
- Lead projects from start to finish with minimal guidance.
- Coordinate and instruct bargaining unit mechanics in performing vehicle instrumentation, part strain gauging, and part changes.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or aeronautical engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience working with battery systems (cells, modules, or packs) ideally for automated testing.
- 3+ years of engineering experience within a testing environment in the automotive industry.
- Experience with data acquisition equipment using various transducers including wheel force transducers, accelerometers, load cells, and strain gauges.
- Understanding of damage severity analysis and stress‑life/load‑life calculations.
- Proficiency in CAN Protocols.
- Competence with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VBA.
- Strong time management, leadership, planning, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Python, MATLAB, and/or VBScript.
- 3+ years of hardware/physical system test scripting experience.
- Test lab experience within the automotive industry.
- Open to co-ops with relevant battery experience.
- Experience with NCode, MTS RPC Pro, and FlexTest is preferred.
