- Develop and own the comprehensive QA strategy for the NetLine implementation, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing across all modules.
- Design test plans, test cases, and automation approaches aligned to system requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational needs.
- Lead the technical setup of QA environments, tools, and data in collaboration with internal infrastructure teams and Lufthansa Systems.
- Oversee and coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment on priorities, resource allocation, and readiness milestones.
- Champion the use of automation frameworks and AI-driven testing techniques to improve coverage and efficiency.
- Establish governance processes for defect management, traceability, reporting, and sign-off.
- Provide coaching, leadership, and support to QA analysts, vendor teams, and business testers.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, test progress, defect trends, and release readiness to program leadership.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and reliability are validated throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to protect delivery timelines and quality outcomes.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- Location info: On-site primarily. May need to work outside of regular office hours and may be required to support business needs, ensure continuity of operations and project success
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance leadership roles, including leading QA for at least two large-scale enterprise transformations in aviation or related field
- Knowledge of airline operations, crew scheduling, or mission-critical operational systems
- Experience implementing a core system replacement for flight operations and/or crew management
- Proven track record developing and executing QA strategies covering SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
- Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Experience applying AI-based testing approaches (e.g., intelligent test generation, visual validation, defect prediction).
- Strong knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery models, with ability to drive testing activities in iterative environments.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, qTest, ALM).
- Experience coaching teams and embedding best practices in complex program environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience facilitating knowledge sharing, mentoring peers, and contributing to communities of practice
