- Maintain, align, and install various electric motors. Execute motor troubleshooting, encompassing the identification of issues such as bearing failures, overheating, shaft misalignment, and other mechanical or electrical problems.
- Maintain and service lubrication systems, including monitoring lubricant application. Diagnose and resolve common lubrication issues such as over-lubrication, contamination, and lubricant starvation. Conduct routine oil sampling and ensure precise lubricant application to maximize machine lifespan.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot rotating equipment. Utilize laser tools and diagnostic equipment to perform precision alignment and balancing. Prevent equipment breakdowns by monitoring wear patterns, thermal expansion, and vibration.
- Utilize and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by accurately logging maintenance tasks, updating work orders, and recording equipment statuses. Complete and close out work orders, ensuring all actions taken are thoroughly documented.
- Manage and write detailed work orders, ensuring precise documentation of all repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities. Meticulously record corrective actions taken, parts utilized, and the corresponding time allocation.
- Strict adherence to all safety standards is mandatory, which includes, but is not limited to: lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, confined space entry protocols, hot work permit requirements, Field Level Risk Assessments, and hazard communication guidelines.
- Maximize equipment uptime and reliability through collaboration with other trades and stakeholders. Support continuous improvement and change initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will possess a Millwright Trade Qualification (Interprovincial/Red Seal) and have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an industrial setting, such as power generation, chemical, or pulp and paper facilities. Relevant certifications and other qualifications are considered assets.
- Consistently perform all assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Capable of inspecting and diagnosing process problems across various unit processes. Required to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment and implement corrective action in adherence to all policy and procedure limitations.
- Demonstrated capability to estimate both the time and material expenses associated with assigned projects.
- Proficient in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
