- Serve as primary contacts for our clients, identify and solve client issues
- Assess attractiveness of potential targets, turning around underperforming institutions, reducing costs via operational/organizational improvements and implementing changes
- Frame strategic issues and shape potential courses of action
- Support client relationship management while executing projects, delivering a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process
- Generate new business opportunities and develop long term relationships and network internally and externally
- Perform primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys
- Develop and execute workplans including analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
- Develop the 'story' - the output to narrate the solution to the client's problem - including written output (slides)
- Develop and sustain effective relationships with client stakeholders
- Foster an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements
- Develop a community within the team - volunteering to support to develop an offer, or other internal practice build initiatives such as Learning, Operations, Resourcing, Recruitment, etc.
- Proactively build a personal network within the firm
- Be comfortable in a team environment that actively encourages members voicing different views to reach the optimal solution for clients
- Be entrepreneurial in seeking ways to deliver increased client impact
- This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role
- Engineering, Finance or Commerce undergrad (MA, MBA, PhD an asset)
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience in management consulting, strategy function leadership, or private equity experience
- Work/leadership experience with demonstrated impact
- Personable with strong client facing and presentation skills, strategic thinker and deductive reasoner
- Strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to link business strategy to performance
- Exceptional problem-solving skills - analytical, quantitative and conceptual
- Advanced modelling skills (Excel) and visualization skills (Tableau and/or Power BI)
- Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under demanding environment, overtime and adhere to project deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for delivering impact, demonstrated initiative taking, high energy and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
