- Partner with the Pursuit Manager to develop and implement the proposal management plan, including the action list, compliance matrix, and schedule.
- Organize and co-chair the proposal kick-off, status updates, content planning, and review meetings with the Pursuit Manager.
- Facilitate and contribute to proposal strategy meetings.
- As a persuasive messaging architect, challenge the proposal team to deliver our most compelling messages that speak to client hot buttons and reflect bespoke win themes.
- Review proposal drafts and final versions for responsiveness, compliance, accuracy, quality, consistent writing style, and effective layout and design.
- Identify and escalate issues that may impact the proposal schedule or quality.
- Support post-submission clarifications and client requests.
- Coordinate post-proposal evaluations and internal debriefs to capture insights that support ongoing improvements to the proposal development process.
- Train, coach, and mentor other proposal team members to support continual improvement in proposal development practices and team performance.
- Ensure continuity of CAT support through effective handovers to Client Engagement Director peers and other global CAT members.
- “Act like an owner” in your role - measure results and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide basic guidance on other CAT-supported areas - CRM, pursuit governance, etc.
- Be a constant CAT presence in the areas of the business you support.
- A diploma or degree in Business, Communications or Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of proposal development experience as a Bid or Proposal Manager in a professional services environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and high emotional intelligence.
- Sharp attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- A proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence without direct authority.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, and CRM tools (an asset).
- Working knowledge of the engineering, procurement, and construction management consulting industry (highly desirable).
