- Plan and execute supplier quality surveillance activities based on purchase order requirements.
- Perform verification, witnessing, and evaluation of supplier fabrication, inspection, and testing activities in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct surveillance of sub‑supplier activities, including review of inspection results and quality records.
- Prepare and maintain Surveillance Plan Face Sheets (SPFS) or Surveillance Plans and Surveillance Records (SPSR), as applicable.
- Ensure surveillance activities, inspection points (V, W, H), and reporting frequency are appropriately defined and documented.
- Prepare and issue Surveillance Reports and Surveillance Records in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Review and become familiar with applicable technical specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and supplier quality documentation.
- Verify supplier compliance with approved procedures, quality programs, and qualification requirements for personnel, equipment, and special processes (e.g., welding, NDE).
- Evaluate supplier implementation of Counterfeit, Fraudulent, and Suspect Items (CFSI) controls.
- Identify and communicate unsatisfactory conditions to suppliers.
- Issue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and follow up through closure.
- Verify implementation and effectiveness of approved corrective actions.
- Interface with Client and Suppliers in resolving quality issue and report any major findings and negative trends.
- Review History Dockets, History Files, or Documentation Packages and sign acceptance when requirements are met.
- Perform final inspection activities, as required, and sign Quality Assurance Releases (QARs).
- Ensure all quality surveillance records are accurately completed and filed in approved document control systems.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing oversight, inspection, or quality surveillance.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and inspection practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and professional judgment when interfacing with suppliers.
- Ability to work independently at supplier facilities.
- Organized, methodical, and audit‑ready approach to work.
- Experience with nuclear or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with CSA N299 series, CSA N285.0, CSA N286, ISO 9001, or equivalent standards.
- Experience working with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), surveillance records, and quality releases.
- Travel to supplier and sub‑supplier facilities may be required.
- Combination of office, manufacturing, and field environments.
