- Conducting Product Support Analyses in accordance with international standards and specifications and internal best practices
- Creating and managing Product Support data within Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) tools
- Creating and maintaining Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) models
- Creation and update of technical publications in legacy and ASD S1000D formats
- Assisting DND in defining IPS requirements in procurement instruments; in verifying and validating IPS deliverables received; and in transforming approved IPS data within the DND information environment
- Assisting DND in assessing equipment support solution performance and recommending improvements to re-optimize based on feedback and historical support and use data
- Assisting industry IPS teams in providing DND deliverables and managing their internal support solution data baselines
- Producing status and analytical reports and presentations related to assigned work
- Mentoring and assisting DND/industry IPS and equipment management staff
- Excellent information system and data analytical skills
- Skilled at use of IPS software tools
- Trade or engineering training and certificationOver 10 years' experience in maintenance or equipment engineering, preferably within DND or its supporting industryOver 5 years' experience in performance of IPS activities and application of international IPS standards/specifications
- Technicians - at least Journeyman level training and certification (or Canadian Armed Forces equivalent) in a relevant trade, as well as experience maintaining complex equipment
- Technologists - training and certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (or Canadian Armed Forces equivalent) in a relevant trade, as well as experience maintaining and managing support for complex equipment
- Engineers - at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or science from an accredited university or college with experience in design, build or support of complex equipment
- Experience in use of Information systems, particularly in Microsoft Office tools, database tools, and XML is an asset
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, such as DND's DRMIS SAPĀ® solution for maintenance, inventory or equipment management is an asset
- Recent experience performing DND equipment program management (EPM) activities such as fulfilling roles of a project IPS team member, a Life Cycle Materiel Manager and/or a Supply Manager is an asset
- Recent experience within IPS department of industries supporting DND equipment is an asset
