What You Will DoManage relationships and contracts with Engineering Services Providers (ESPs).Lead design reviews with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, codes, and Enbridge standards, including hazard operability and constructability perspectives.Oversee material specification and requisition: review vendor quotations, evaluate technical bids, and recommend based on technical merit, cost, and delivery. Partner with Supply Chain to procure materials.Support project planning and scheduling during design and procurement phases.Provide technical expertise throughout project development, design, construction, and commissioning.Manage ESPs in updating as-built drawings with red-line markups.Contribute to project scope, scheduling, cost estimating, execution planning, and risk management during development.Support Operations in incident investigations post-handover.Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects into new designs, promoting standardization where possible.
Must Have Experience:Experience: 7+ years in power distribution system design for Oil & Gas facilities, including analysis of control schematics (e.g., medium voltage switchgear, MCCs, switchgear buildings, PLC systems, VFDs, instrumentation such as pressure/temperature transmitters, SCADA). Experience with power systems for cooling facilities is an asset.Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering.Certification: Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, or eligible for registration.Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills to influence decisions without formal authority.Strong working knowledge of national codes (CEC, NEC) and industry standards (API, IEEE, UL, etc.).
