- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Strengthen and enhance internal controls within a regulated environment
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Partner with external auditors by preparing working papers and responding to audit requests
- Prepare regulatory filings and reports required by governing bodies
- Assist with tax compliance by compiling year-end tax working papers
- Analyze financial results, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and system enhancements
- CPA designation (or near completion)
- 3-5+ years of experience in public practice or financial services industry roles
- Experience working with or auditing regulated entities (financial institutions, insurance, brokerages)
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
