- Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment - On-site, Monday to Friday
- Provide technical assistance, champion customer relations, and manage personnel for major programs and projects
- Plan and administer procedures, production and quality control standards in designated area
- Develop workforce through supervision, coaching, and training.
- Manage labour and materials to the production schedule.
- Ensure all plans and strategies are effectively communicated throughout the department.
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) daily and provide recommendations to solve any quality, safety and production issues.
- Develop and continuously analyze budget versus planned forecast and report monthly or as needed.
- Review, alter, and approve all departmental scheduling issues.
- Assist in the selection of prospective new hire employees
- Ensure all facility equipment is maintained up to company standards.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent required, preferably in Engineering, Business, or a related field completed.
- Minimum of 3+ years of increasing levels of supervisory roles of people in a unionized environment & processes.
- Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management.
- Working knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
- Working knowledge of national, provincial, and local regulatory requirements in the areas of food safety, environment and emergency management.
- Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier.
