11 MonthsNote that they should be informed in advance about potential shift rotations, as their support may be needed for the second shift. We need flexibility for shift rotation. The possible shifts would be 3:00 PM-11:00 PM or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM. Initially, they will work the morning shift from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.The shift Rotation is not set in stone yet, and it may not even happen however, they want to make sure the candidates are aware of it in case they are asked to do it 1 or 2 times a week if needed.Normal Hours are 8AM - 430PM , Training typically takes about 2 months. If neither of these candidates are able to do it please revise the search and resubmit candidates.Role Summary/Purpose:
This position is responsible for assembling a variety of electronic and/or mechanical equipment to ensures products are on time for shipment. The successful candidates will read and interpret instructions, assemble parts and tools, and fit electronic components together.Essential Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical assembly of electrical assemblies and subassemblies including assemble relays, cabinets, modules, chassis, cable harnesses using engineering drawing and processes.
  • Build wire harnesses and cables, crimp, route, and tie cables & cable harnesses
  • Ability to assemble electrical devices and/or wire electrical control panels and subassemblies using engineering schematic and working instructions.
  • Read assembly instructions and build to process requirements
  • Prepare product for shipment including packaging orders, performing out of box audit & physically moving materials from the production cell to the warehouse
  • Transfer inventory between stocking locations in the SAP system
  • Physical & systematic tagging, segregating, and moving of defective material to a nonconformance material location
  • Issue Quality Escape Report (QER) to the appropriate personnel as required
  • Participate in lean events such as 5S and basic workstation redesign
  • Maintain 5S standards in the work cell
  • Ensure anti-static protection is always worn to prevent damage to static sensitive parts
  • Work in a safe manner and ensure appropriate training is taken to do tasks safely
  • Report any incidents or injuries while on the job
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Client's Quality Assurance and Workmanship standards
  • Abide by all Client corporate and local policies and procedures including but not limited to Integrity - The Spirit and The Letter, Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety policies.
  • Assist with cross functional team to plan and resolve production problems.
Qualification / Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma / GED
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work up to 6 hours standing and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, etc.
  • Ability to lift to 35lbs as part of daily duties.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in SAP and material transactions
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Ability to read assembly drawings and schematics
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work anywhere on the shop floor
  • Good understanding of verbal and written communication
  • Good interpersonal skills are an asset, as this position will require occasional interdepartmental communications.
