La candidate où le candidat travaillera sous la direction de la directrice générale et sera responsable pour la gestion du processus de publication des études critiques et comptes rendus de la revue. Les tâches incluront principalement, mais ne seront pas limitées à :
  • Gérer le compte de messagerie-courriel ;
  • Communiquer avec les auteurs, les responsables des comptes rendus et les maisons d’éditions ;
  • Commander des ouvrages récents auprès des maisons d’édition ;
  • Enregistrer les livres reçus dans une base de données et mettre à jour les dossiers courants ;
  • Maintenir un index à jour des études critiques et comptes rendus ;
  • Poster les ouvrages à faire recenser aux auteurs ;
  • Suivre les directives des responsables des comptes rendus afin de préparer les recensions pour publication ;
  • Effectuer les révisions d’épreuves des comptes rendus ;
  • Finaliser et envoyer les ententes relatives aux droits d’auteurs ;
  • Organiser l’envoi des exemplaires de la revue ;
  • Classer et archiver des documents administratifs générales ;
  • Créer et maintenir une archive digitale ;
  • Contribuer à la mise à jour et à l’amélioration continue du site web.

The candidate will answer to the Executive Director and will be responsible for the management of the publishing process of the Review Essays and Book Reviews. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Managing emails;
  • Communicating with authors, Book Review Editors, and publishers;
  • Ordering recent books for review;
  • Recording books received in a spreadsheet and maintaining the appropriate files;
  • Maintaining an index of books received and keeping it updated;
  • Shipping books for review to authors;
  • Following the directives as provided by the Book Review Editors in order to prepare the Book Reviews for publication;
  • Revising page proofs of the Book Reviews before publication;
  • Finalising and sending Copyright agreements to authors;
  • Assisting with the shipment of the journal;
  • Filing and archiving general administrative documents;
  • Creating and maintaining a digital archive;
  • Updating the journal’s website.
