- Design and develop electrical systems for emergency response units built on bus platforms, including layouts and integration for multi-passenger emergency transport.
- Support electrical design activities for a solar expansion project, contributing to concept development, modeling, and iterative refinement.
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D models of electrical components and assemblies using Siemens NX or comparable platforms such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Prepare and update electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and efficient system integration.
- Support basic PLC-related tasks, utilizing entry-level PLC programming knowledge for control system integration where required.
- Participate in design reviews, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and implement revisions to improve design quality and manufacturability.
- Assist with troubleshooting during prototyping, testing, and final assembly.
- Adhere to established engineering processes, standards, and documentation practices throughout the design lifecycle.
- 3+ years of electrical design experience, including co-op or internship experience.
- Hands-on electrical design experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, ideally Siemens NX, or the ability to quickly adapt from AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Foundational or entry-level experience with PLC programming.
- Education in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, such as EIT or CET.
- Ability to interpret and produce electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and production teams.
