Job Description: Frontend Tech Lead – Commercetools About the Role We are seeking an experienced Frontend Tech Lead with strong expertise in Commercetools and modern frontend frameworks. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality eCommerce frontend solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Commercetools’ headless commerce platform. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on coding skills, and the ability to guide teams through complex frontend challenges. Key Responsibilities Lead the frontend development team in building scalable, high-performance eCommerce applications using Commercetools and modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js, etc.). Collaborate with architects, backend developers, and UX/UI designers to deliver seamless headless commerce experiences. Drive the technical design and implementation of frontend solutions that integrate with Commercetools APIs and microservices. Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices. Optimize application performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define timelines, deliverables, and priorities. Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies, Commercetools updates, and industry trends. Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or technical lead role. Strong hands-on experience with React.js (or similar frameworks) and JavaScript/TypeScript. Proven experience integrating with Commercetools APIs and understanding of headless commerce architecture. Solid understanding of frontend performance optimization, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards. Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) frameworks like Next.js. Experience with GraphQL APIs. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). eCommerce domain experience with other platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce, Magento) is a plus.
