Position OverviewReporting to the Controller, the Development Accountant will manage financial reporting and project accounting for a portfolio of residential developments. The role offers meaningful exposure to the full project lifecycle and requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple residential development projects
Track and report on project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts
Prepare monthly financial statements and detailed project reporting packages
Partner closely with development, construction, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and financial oversight
Monitor cash flow, construction draws, and lender reporting requirements
Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors
Contribute to process improvements and strengthening internal controls
Analyze variances and provide financial insights to support strategic project decisions

Requirements:Qualifications & Experience

CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA)
3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or development
Strong project accounting experience (construction or development environment preferred)
Understanding of residential development cycles and cost structures
Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
Highly collaborative, inquisitive, and detail-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work full-time in-office in Downtown Vancouver
