$20.00/hour + $1.00 shift premium
Monday - Thursday | 3:00 PM - 1:00 AMPosition OverviewWe are currently hiring an Afternoon Weld Machine Operator to join our production team in Barrie. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating auto weld and auto seam machines to fabricate high-quality filter bags.This is a great opportunity for experienced machine operators who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.What You'll Be Doing

Operate auto weld and auto seam machines to fabricate filter materials
Set up machines based on specification sheets and digital setup systems
Transport rolls of fabric using a dolly or pump truck
Review work orders to ensure correct materials and specifications
Feed materials through machines, adjusting heat, speed, and fittings
Assemble fabricated materials according to production requirements
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate when needed
Assist in the cutting department (pattern layout and material cutting)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience operating industrial machinery
Experience with machine setup and reading specification sheets
Experience using ERP systems (scanning work orders in/out) is an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Safety-focused mindset

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Comfortable working with industrial equipment
Able to work in a moderate to high noise and temperature environment
