Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
$26.00/hour ($54,080 annually)About the RoleWe are currently hiring a CNC Operator for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Barrie. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on machining experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced machine shop environment and takes pride in precision and quality.Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, milling machines, and specialized equipment)
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Machine components to precise tolerances and quality standards
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform basic maintenance
Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams

Qualifications

Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic computer skills (data entry, CNC interface)
Strong communication skills with excellent command of English (verbal and written)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a machine shop environment

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Experience in electrical components or commutator manufacturing
Knowledge of copper machining and insulation materials
Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code)
