- Supporting all activities of the Quality Team, including planning, establishing, documenting, and maintaining the QMP.
- Verification of procurement documents procured items and services for construction and installation work.
- Assist with the selection and assignment of project quality personnel to ensure they are trained, qualified, competent, and where required certified to perform the assigned functions.
- Ensure quality personnel have reviewed contract details pertaining to technical and quality requirements.
- Evaluating and selecting suppliers and subcontractors.
- Reviewing and accepting of customer free issue items and supporting documentation.
- Be independent of the design-builder's site/production management team and have full access to quality documentation described in the quality management system held with design-builder parties.
- Initiate annual management reviews, and take other necessary actions to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Prepare quality audit plans, schedule and coordinate internal and external quality audits of key processes with the relevant design-builder parties.
- Ensure all quality audits required under the quality documentation are conducted, and report the findings to the client.
- Authority to immediately stop any work or activity that is not being performed in accordance with the quality documentation applicable.
- Liaise with client and act as the primary representative for the Design-Builder on all matters related to quality management.
- Coordinate activities that demonstrate compliance of the Quality Management System to the Design-Builder and client.
- Prepare and submit monthly Quality Management System reports.
- Develop and implement a program for Disposition and Corrective Action for Non-Conformances.
- Approve and sign off on the action taken for closure of Non-Conformance Reports.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in quality management with major infrastructure projects.
- Experience and knowledge of quality management systems and industry standards, including ISO9001, N286, and N299.
- Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or have experience in a similar quality management role.
- Proven ability in coordinating efforts to support, mentor and audit Quality Management System requirements.
- Experience in planning and managing Quality Assurance and internal processes.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge, critical analysis and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Valid Driver's License.
- In-office presence required five days per week.
