They will be working on menswear and outerwear for both men and women.The Senior Technical Designers basic function is to support the director of merchandising and design with research and development. They will be responsible for research, trend boards, fabric direction, sketching, create artwork/ tech pack/ line sheets for specific customer needs while meeting deadlines.They will manage multiple projects at once, transacting with internal and external partners, and makers. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize and efficiently manage multiple demands are essential.Responsibilities:R&D (research & development) – trend research (on-line, original samples, trip pictures) including fabrics, colors, bodiesTechnical sketching of bodies, putting story board together.Final selection boards (customer selection, ensuring all information is correct: style numbers, fabric, colors)Initial production plans (customer style flow)Communicate daily with internal team members as well as overseas factoriesExecute all responsibilities in timely mannerRequirements:College Degree in fashion design OR a University certificate in fashion designTechnical background5+ years of experience in similar positions5+ years of experience in the fashion industry5+ years of experience in fabricsAn asset:-Outerwear experience-Technical Tools:*Good level in Illustrator/ photoshop*Good level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)-Language*Excellent level of English (written and spoken)*Good level of spoken French (written and spoken)-Excellent team player-Strong details oriented
