This role is ideal for someone who knows corporate loan processing inside and out and thrives in a collaborative operations setting. While this is not a formal management position, you'll act as a subject matter expert (SME)-mentoring team members, validating work, and coordinating the daily workflow for a cross-functional loan operations team. You'll work closely with international counterparts and report to the local team lead.What You​ Will Do: Workflow Coordination & Operational Oversight
- Assign files and prioritize daily tasks across a team of loan administrators.
- Validate transactional activities such as drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, rate fixings, interest/fee postings, and reconciliations.
- Act as the key quality checkpoint before submissions are finalized, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with internal policies.
- Serve as a go-to expert on loan processing operations (bilateral, syndicated, agency, and participant roles).
- Provide ongoing coaching, technical guidance, and on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Motivate the team through consistent standards, constructive feedback, and a hands-on leadership style.
- Perform data reviews and daily operational checks; serve as a backup for the Team Lead during absences.
- Ensure compliance with operational controls, regulatory standards, and internal audit requirements.
- Escalate issues or gaps to management in a timely and effective manner.
- Participate in internal projects, including system enhancements, process updates, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support broader change management initiatives aimed at improving loan operations efficiency.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in commercial loan operations, preferably in an international banking environment
- Deep knowledge of corporate lending, loan administration systems (e.g., ACBS), and operational workflows
- Experience coordinating team workflows or quality validation in a high-volume setting
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written); French is a strong asset
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across time zones
- Proven ability to mentor others and influence without direct authority
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); exposure to loan servicing and payment systems a plus
- Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
