Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) – Contracts Management team manage over 2500 contracts spanning the voice and data network infrastructure, storage, hosting, data centre services, collaboration and co-location. In this role you will focus on the proper management, governance and execution of the products and services contracts for the entire EPS team, maximizing consistency, compliance and efficiency, while minimizing risks to RBC. The role will draft (or work with Global Procurement to draft) contracts, transaction agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, using templates provided by the RBC Law group, ensuring that these contracts meet our business requirements.What will you do?Primary contact for all EPS teams that require a NDA, MSA, Service Schedule, SOW/Professional Services Engagement, Service Order or Product Maintenance Coverage reviewed, negotiated and executed.Directly negotiate Consulting Services Agreements and Service Contracts/Forms for which Procurement and Legal involvement is not required, coordinating activities related to the phases of contracts negotiation - identifying, tracking, resolving issues, and driving cost savings.Review EPS contracts and facilitate requirements gathering, ensuring that all existing contracts are renewed at least 30 days prior to expiry and in accordance with EPS requirements and Audit compliance.Participate in the evaluation of third-party vendors as well as due diligence exercises, consolidating and analyzing supplier quotes and proposals, as required.Provide Subject Matter Expertise to resolves conflicts/issues relating to contracts and supplier risk management processes and escalates to others as appropriate.Provide Subject Matter Expertise on the Enterprise Platform Services Service Agreements, providing responses and guidance on queries from the team.Lead the discussions with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure Service Agreements meet RBC requirements.Analyze current contracts and develop plans to optimize supplier footprint, optimize/streamline operational processes and report on KPIs.What do you need to succeed?Must haves:Undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent (i.e., BASc or equivalent)Industry knowledge of Network/Hosting/Data Centre/Collaboration vendor products and services.Ability to express coherently and negotiate typical contract terms and conditions.Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.Must have an intermediate level of Microsoft Excel skills and a working knowledge of finance/accounting.Nice-to-haves:Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and handle high pressure situations.Excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
