
MEP Package Lead

- Lead, plan, and manage the execution of all MEP works (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, low voltage, and specialized rail systems).
- Coordinate with civil, structural, track, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP works.
- Review, approve, and monitor MEP design, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals in line with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and railway-specific codes.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery, quality, and safety.
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Lead project meetings, interface with stakeholders, and provide technical guidance.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all MEP activities.
- Prepare progress reports, schedules, and forecasts for senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Electrical engineering
- 10-15 years overall professional experience in MEP design, execution, and management.
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience in railway or metro/LRT projects.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (CSA,NFPA, IEC, BS, EN, ASHRAE, etc.) and railway-specific requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale infrastructure MEP works.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms )preferred
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective cross-discipline coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
