Sagicor is focused on growing its business in the markets in which we operate and actively supporting the communities in which we serve.Here’s the job opportunity… (12-month Contract)This contract position is a new vacancy.As the Senior Manager, Enterprise Data Architecture you will be responsible for defining, governing, and modernizing the enterprise-wide data architecture that powers Finance, Actuarial, Risk, and regulatory reporting, including IFRS 17. You will also lead the architectural vision for the unified enterprise data ecosystem (data warehouse + data lake + semantic layer + virtualization), enabling scalable, secure, analytics-ready data for advanced modeling, AI/ML, and enterprise insights.Key Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the enterprise data architecture blueprint, standards, and multi-year modernization roadmap, and lead adoption of unified data architecture principles
  • Establish and govern models, ontologies, taxonomies, and metadata standards
  • Design, manage, and oversee data governance of integrated Data Warehouse & Data Lake Architectures
  • Lead design for IFRS 17 models, CSM calculations, actuarial inputs, and financial data flows and develop IFRS17-aligned data models, integration, and traceability frameworks and oversee compliance with GDPR, IFRS 17, SOX, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure lineage, auditability, and compliance across actuarial, finance, and regulatory ecosystems
  • Lead enterprise data governance for lineage, cataloging, glossary, and stewardship
  • Implement enterprise monitoring, data observability frameworks, and automated data quality checks.
  • Provide architectural leadership for cloud-native platforms (Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Snowflake)
  • Guide legacy platform modernization and DataOps
  • Drive adoption of AI-powered data management capabilities, such as automated lineage, anomaly detection
  • Ensure architectural consistency, scalability, alignment to strategy, and champion adoption across segments
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of data architects
What we pay$70.00 -$85.00 per hourQualifications
  • 8- 12+ years in Data Architecture/Engineering, including leadership experience
  • Expertise in Azure/Snowflake/Databricks/Fabric, data modeling, governance, and integration
  • Strong understanding of Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, canonical modeling, and semantic modeling techniques
  • Understanding of AI-augmented data management and DataOps practices
  • Experience with unified DW/DL architectures and data virtualization frameworks
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Effective Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with IFRS 17 or finance/insurance data domains is preferred
