DescriptionEdmonton based company has an exciting opportunity for an HR Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role.Salary - $100,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)Job Description:
  • Oversee all aspects of the HR Function of the organization
  • Supporting the staff through being their first point of contact.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key department managers to best understand operational needs and provide aligned guidance with HR best
  • Oversee the full recruitment, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and supervisors on employee and labour relations matters.
  • Provide guidance on employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Address employee concerns and if required assist in resolution.
  • Act as the primary liaison with two labour unions.
  • Organizational Communication - HR memos, drafting letters, communications with staff, etc
  • Ensure safety programs are maintained and followed
  • Analyze salary data and industry information to determine competitive compensation, bonus and benefits programs.
  • Maintenance of Organizational Chart and job titles
  • Review and administer extended benefits plan
  • Negotiate and administer health insurance plans with providers
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws and bilingual workplace requirements.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic HR planning and organizational development.
Job Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in Human Resources Management
  • Completed Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • CPHR designation or current pursuit of designation an asset
  • Experience with ADP HRIS and the MS Office suite
  • Proven experience managing collective agreements
  • Detail oriented with superior organization skills
  • Experience negotiating health insurance plans and managing pension funds.
  • Fluency in English is required; reasonable proficiency in spoken and written French is necessary.
  • Has Strong written and oral communication skills, paired with a robust style of collaboration
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge and application of HR principles and practices and Canadian labour laws
