The Senior Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee daily maintenance and engineering operations, including refrigeration systems, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Starting with one direct report, this role is designed to grow into a broader leadership position with increased team oversight. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with industrial refrigeration experience who is looking to develop their people management skills and build a high-performing maintenance team.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage and coordinate all maintenance-related activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standardsLead, train, and develop team members to build a strong, technically capable maintenance teamProvide performance feedback, assign duties, and support the growth of direct reportsOversee daily facility engineering operations, including refrigeration systemsManage, plan, and schedule maintenance workloads using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Ensure compliance with fire, safety, environmental, and health and safety programsCollaborate with the General Manager to manage budgets for labor and materials and support energy management initiativesReview utility reports and implement cost-saving or efficiency improvementsProvide recommendations and oversight for capital expenditure and energy efficiency projectsSupport commissioning and maintenance planning in automated facilities, including vendor coordination where applicableDrive adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirementsOn-Call: Must be available for emergency on-call support as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysDAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee all maintenance and facility operations with initial training and transition from the retiring incumbentEnsure smooth operation of refrigeration systems and overall building functionalityManage ongoing maintenance activities and respond to operational needsLead and communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholdersMaintain documentation, reporting, and communication through systems such as CMMS and ExcelREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRefrigeration Operator (RO) certification required; 4th Class Power Engineer certification preferred5–10 years of experience in industrial refrigerationMinimum 3 years of facility maintenance management experience (or equivalent leadership experience)Experience working with ammonia, Freon, and/or CO₂ refrigeration systemsStrong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory complianceProficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)Strong leadership, communication, and team development skillsAbility to write clear, concise communications and effectively lead and motivate a teamTrades background (electrical, mechanical, or plumbing) or strong familiarity with multiple trades is preferredExperience in automated or temperature-controlled warehouse environments is preferredAbility to work in temperatures as low as -25°C in cold storage or up to 37°C in dry storage environmentsComfortable working in environments with varying noise levelsIDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEA hands-on technical leader with strong refrigeration expertiseA team builder who can develop and mentor othersAdaptable, detail-oriented, and strong in compliance and safety-driven environmentsLooking to grow into a larger leadership role with increased team oversightThe compensation package offered will depend on the candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.Pay Range:$91,400.00 - $142,700.00Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
