Department: Facilities & Workplace ExperienceReports to: Manager, Facilities & Workplace ExperienceLocated in: New Westminster, BCYour Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:As the Technical Facilities Supervisor at ARC'One, you are the hands-on technical lead ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of all building systems across the site. You oversee critical infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and life safety systems to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and without interruption.You bring deep technical expertise to troubleshooting, coordinating specialized vendors and contractors, and supporting maintenance and capital projects that keep the facility operating at peak performance. Working closely with the Manager, Facilities & Workplace Experience, you help protect business continuity by ensuring that all core building systems are proactively maintained, monitored, and continuously improved.You also contribute to long-term system planning by identifying infrastructure risks, supporting asset lifecycle strategies, and helping shape technical improvements that enhance the ARC'One facility.Meet Your Future Team:The Facilities & Workplace Experience team partners with the business to deliver a safe, reliable, and inspiring workplace across ARC'One.Our work is organized around three pillars. Projects delivers complex, time-sensitive capital projects that enable growth, support production, and continuously improve our spaces and infrastructure.As the Technical Facilities Supervisor, you act as the operational backbone for building systems performance. You work closely with Facilities Specialists and Coordinators who focus on workplace experience and service delivery, ensuring the technical systems supporting those environments run seamlessly.You partner closely with Manufacturing, Distribution, Health & Safety, Security, and the Facilities Projects team to ensure building infrastructure supports production, protects people, and enables the business to operate without interruption.\nIf you were our Technical Facilities Supervisor today, you would be:Facilities Systems Operations (MEP-first)Owning the performance and reliability of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing/process water, compressed air, chillers, utilities, and fire/life safety systemsConducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenanceIdentifying recurring system issues and implementing improvements to reduce downtimeMaintaining accurate system documentation, service logs, and technical recordsSupporting lifecycle planning and providing technical input into capital replacement strategiesTechnical Troubleshooting & Issue ResolutionActing as the site's technical authority for building systems troubleshootingDiagnosing alarms, failures, and anomalies; coordinating repairs with internal teams and vendorsMonitoring and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS/BMS) to ensure correct sequences of operationSupporting equipment installs, moves, and infrastructure adjustments across production and office environmentsVendor, Contractor & Service Partner OversightCoordinating and supervising specialized trades (HVAC technicians, electricians, controls technicians, and life safety inspectors, and more)Ensuring vendors meet all safety, technical, and service-quality standardsReviewing vendor reports and escalating issues where requiredCompliance, Regulatory & SafetyEnsuring all building systems work complies with building codes, technical standards, and WorkSafeBC requirementsSupporting site emergency preparedness through the upkeep life safety and critical systemsMaintaining documentation for inspections, permits, and regulatory testingProject Execution & Technical SupportSupporting renovations, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgradesReviewing drawings and system layouts to ensure compatibility with facility operationsSupporting commissioning and handover of new equipment and infrastructureCMMS & Asset ManagementMaintaining asset records, preventive maintenance schedules, and work orders in CMMSMonitoring maintenance trends and system performance to support predictive maintenance and operational improvementsSustainability & Energy ManagementMonitoring energy usage and identifying opportunities for efficiency gainsTeam Support & Cross-Functional CollaborationProviding technical guidance to Facilities Specialists and CoordinatorsPartnering with Manufacturing, Distribution, and Workplace Experience teams to ensure systems support operational needsHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:System reliability initiatives and infrastructure upgrades that improve long-term performanceIncreased involvement in capital planning and lifecycle replacement for major building systemsDeveloping standardized maintenance programs and reliability practices across facilitiesDriving energy management and sustainability improvements at ARC'One siteAre you our future Technical Facilities Supervisor?You have a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Building Engineering/Technology, Facilities Management, or a Red Seal trade (Electrician, Millwright, Refrigeration/HVAC), or equivalent experienceYou have 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical building systems in manufacturing, distribution, or commercial environmentsYou are technically proficient and able to read and interpret architectural drawings, MEP drawings, and sequences of operationYou have strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing/process water, compressed air, and life safety systemsYou have experience working with CMMS platforms and building automation systems (BAS/BMS)You have experience supervising vendors and coordinating specialized contractorsYou have strong knowledge of building codes, technical standards, and WorkSafeBC safety requirementsYou are a collaborative problem-solver who can bridge technical building operations with workplace and production needsYou communicate clearly and confidently with technical vendors, internal teams, and leadershipYou are proactive in identifying system risks and opportunities for operational improvementYou bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail in live production environmentsYou are committed to continuous improvement and take pride in protecting the safety, reliability, and performance of the facility\n$71,000 - $93,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$71,000 - CAD$93,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
