Travel expectations: approximately 50%Your ImpactThe Canadian Sales Specialist for CEW & VR is responsible for selling TASER and Virtual Reality training products and services to Municipal, Provincial and Federal agencies. This is a quota carrying, external field position. Your ability to articulate life-saving solutions, build and maintain senior level relationships within the government, navigate across customer needs for training and implementations, are critical factors in success in this role.At Axon, our goal is to make each individual feel valued for his or her contributions to the company's mission to protect life. - Develop and Execute Account Strategies: Develop a clear and specific sales strategy that outlines the plan for key agencies and our Canadian distribution partner, initiating trials & evaluations and supporting the Canadian TASER Advisory Board members. The sales plan should outline specific targeted agencies and activity needed to develop sales, key contacts and relationships with customers.
- Build and Maintain a Robust Sales Pipeline: Identify key opportunities and produce a verified pipeline for Municipal, Provincial & Federal (Public Safety agencies) and adjacent markets such as Corrections, that is at least three times greater than the quota associated for the region.
- Learn the Axon Ecosystem: develop a deep understanding of how each of the products and services relates to helping our customers be more effective in the field. Be able to articulate the value of the Axon product and services in a meaningful way that resonates with our customers. Partner with the Canadian TASER Advisory Board members on key value propositions, training and plans to increase utilization and training across TASER suite of products and services.
- Increase Market Awareness: In connection with our Sales Director and Marketing team, assist in developing a marketing plan and key messaging for Provincial, Federal and Adjacent markets in Canada for the growth and acquisition of TASERs. The marketing plan should include key messaging, collateral and event strategies including a timeline for execution for each component.
- Manage and Oversee Proposal Responses: Assist our proposals team with responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) for customers, support for our distribution partner and the Canadian TASER Advisory Board with demonstrations and training of CEW instructors across Canada. While working with the Bid Response teams, you will be leading the strategy on the response and ultimately be responsible for the completeness and execution of RFP responses.
- Manage Customer Relationships: Cultivate relationships with both executive and operational leaders within public safety agencies. Ensure seamless customer experiences through proactive engagement and problem-solving.
- Accurate CRM Management: Maintain complete status of opportunities in
- Document opportunity statuses including Opportunity value, Close dates and Next Steps, while managing to a 3:1 ratio of opportunity pipeline to quota
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with Axon's customer success, engineering, and program management teams to ensure that customer projects are delivered on time and that customers derive measurable value from Axon's solutions.
- Track Record of Success: Proven experience exceeding sales targets in a complex, consultative sales environment, particularly in public safety, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions.
- Public Safety Sales Experience: Deep understanding of municipal procurement processes, public safety technology, and the ability to navigate complex deals.
- Solution-Oriented Mindset: Ability to translate complex customer needs into innovative Axon solutions, helping agencies enhance public safety, officer accountability, and efficiency.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud computing, SaaS solutions, and (preferably) digital evidence management systems. Experience working with public safety IT leaders to drive cloud and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization to deliver comprehensive, high-impact customer solutions.
- Law Enforcement/Public Safety Knowledge: Experience working with law enforcement or public safety agencies is a strong plus. Ability to connect Axon's mission and products to the unique challenges of public safety.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with key customers and stakeholders across Western Canada.
- Bilingual: While not mandatory, French and English is an asset
- Self-starter that enjoys working remotely
- Experience training and increasing utilization of a suite of products or services
- Responsible for own scheduling and territory management
- Must be willing and able to travel up to and above 50% at times
- Required to attend and successfully complete TASER Master Instructor School

- Experience with longer sales cycles to Government and following rigid procurement processes
