The Research Assistant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our studies, supporting efforts to better understand and improve the long-term outcomes of traumatically injured patients.Key Responsibilities
- Recruit participants in both the inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
- Administer structured surveys both in person (e.g., during outpatient follow-up visits) and by telephone.
- Conduct patient interviews and assist in qualitative data collection.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with clinical teams to facilitate smooth study operations.
- Support ethics submissions and other administrative tasks related to the studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., health sciences, psychology, public health, nursing) or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a clinical or research environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage compassionately with patients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with common software tools (e.g., MS Office, REDCap, Hospital EMR).
- Training in human subject research and ethics will be provided if not already completed.
