- Assists with updating drawings and specifications.
- Coordinates inventory and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities.
- Prepares quantity takeoffs.
- Assists in creating, implementing, and monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections, and identifying issues on-site and in work scopes.
- Conducts basic safety inspections and training, identifies and corrects safety hazards, attends daily safety meetings, and leads by example in safety practices and procedures.
- Assists the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes and billings and overseeing work by providing day-to-day direction.
- Assists with schedules and monitoring trade performance.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Supports superintendent, project manager and project coordinator on self- perform scopes and workforce planning. (if applicable, for self-perform responsibility)
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade or a related field.
- 2–3 years of progressive experience as field coordinator is preferred.
- Ability to understand and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures.
- Experience with a broad range of construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., self-perform work, trade partners, work scopes, temporary work, and equipment).
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders including supervisors and subtrade partners.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
