Working with the Material Support group, the incumbent will administer component repair and purchasing activities of parts for the Department of National Defence (DND) CH146 Griffon utility and tactical transport helicopter fleet. The Griffon helicopter, derived from Bell’s model 412 medium-lift helicopter, serves duty in search and rescue, utility operations, tactical training, and special operations. BTCL is contracted by DND as the prime Weapon System Support contractor.TASKING
  • Process quotes from vendors for the repair and overhaul of parts
  • Communicate with vendors to keep delivery dates accurate and work with vendors to meet urgent aircraft demands
  • Work with reports to track performance of vendors and develop working relationships to drive improvement
  • Track monthly spend of budget and approve invoices for payment
  • Take part in continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma), procedural/system change or procurement strategy projects
  • Perform data analytics, forecasting, and optimization of related processes to support business decision making
  • Support development programs or participate in system change committees.
  • Learn and develop technical knowledge for various aircraft commodities
Qualifications * Education
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field; other post-secondary programs will be considered
  • Experience and Skills
  • Work experience in aerospace procurement and/or contracts management preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships
  • Able to communicate and negotiate skillfully with both internal and external customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with SAP an asset
  • French and English bilingualism an asset
LOCATION AND HOURSThe Canadian Supply Centre is in the northeast corner of the logistics park near Calgary International Airport.
