This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in cutting edge clinical research at UHN.Duties:
Compile data from related and/or unrelated sources.
Perform complex histological analyses and experiments.
Use extensive knowledge of pathology to annotate slides from a variety of tissue sites for downstream dissection and genomic analysis.
Use digital pathology tools for interpretation and annotation of whole slide images.
Communicate with stakeholders across UHN, nationally and maintain records of experimental data.
Have the opportunity to contribute to independent research projects
Present at scientific meetings.
Qualifications
MD or Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Pathology or other related field is required
Strong knowledge of Pathology, Immunohistochemistry, and analysis of H&E slides.
Course work in human anatomy, physiology, microscopy, and molecular biology preferred.
Demonstrated interest in human diseases such as cancer
Proficient in medical terminology
Six (6) months related research or technical experience
Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving abilities
Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Client service experience an asset
