Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto)Description:Academic Outpatient Psychiatrist for the Women's Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions at Sunnybrook Health Sciences CentreThe Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Department of Psychiatry of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre are seeking to recruit an Academic Outpatient Psychiatrist with expertise in reproductive psychiatry. The successful candidate will qualify for an academic position as a Clinician-Teacher, Researcher, Clinician-Educator or Clinician in Quality Improvement and must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate would participate fully in the clinical and academic activities of the department including the psychiatry call system and teaching program. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026, or as mutually agreed.The Women's Mood and Anxiety Clinic: Reproductive Transitions specializes in mood and anxiety disorders that women can experience across the lifecycle especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause. Assessment and treatment services are provided with expertise in the use of psychotropic medication and psychotherapy. Clinical services, research, and teaching are all priorities. The Sunnybrook's DAN Women & Babies Program, a key partner, cares for both low-risk and complex pregnant patients with close to 4000 deliveries per year. The Sunnybrook Department of Psychiatry is a collegial team of over 50 psychiatrists working with allied staff in a 47 bed Schedule 1 facility, including 10 Youth beds (ages 14-18), 28 Adult/Geriatric beds and 9 Psychiatric ICU beds.The successful candidate will provide outpatient psychiatry services and support or lead research. A track record of excellence in teaching is necessary given the frequent presence of learners on the team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for interdisciplinary collaborations within the Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program.The successful applicant must hold an MD degree, must be Royal College/Board Certified or Royal College/Board Eligible in Psychiatry and must be eligible for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario with past experience or training in reproductive psychiatry.Compensation will be based on a fee-for-service structure with additional funding through Academic and Educational Trust Funds and/or Departmentally- sanctioned administrative roles.
