Reports To: VP, FinanceA highly established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced AP & AR Manager to lead its accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering cross-functionally to support operational and financial performance.The AP & AR Manager will oversee vendor payments, customer billing, collections, and deduction management while maintaining strong financial controls and driving operational efficiencies. This role will lead a shared services team and collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance leadership to support cash flow and financial accuracy.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accuracy and efficiency.Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing professional development.Implement and monitor KPIs to measure team productivity and process effectiveness.Cross-train team members to ensure operational resilience and continuity.Accounts Receivable OversightManage the full AR lifecycle including billing, collections, and account reconciliation.Oversee trade spend deductions and ensure accurate and timely resolution of discrepancies.Resolve complex pricing disputes and deduction issues with customers.Partner with internal sales teams and maintain relationships with key customers.Ensure accurate cash application and proactive management of outstanding receivables.Accounts Payable OversightSupervise AP operations to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies.Ensure compliance with company policies and internal financial controls.Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and improve efficiency.Operational Support & Process ImprovementProvide hands-on support during peak periods or team absences.Maintain proficiency across all AP/AR systems and processes.Manage escalated or complex issues directly when required.Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives.Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to support business objectives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Deep expertise in Accounts Receivable, including:Trade spend deduction managementPricing dispute resolutionCustomer account reconciliationSolid understanding of Accounts Payable processes.Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.Track record of process improvement and change management.Experience in consumer goods or other trade-intensive industries preferred.Professional designation (CPA, CMA, or similar) considered an asset.Compensation & BenefitsTotal compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 (inclusive of bonus)RRSP matching program * Opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing organization and help shape finance operations.
