We are looking for an Advisor, Sustainability and ESG, based in Montreal, QC, to support our ESG reporting and disclosure activities as part of a growing global sustainability function. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation of high-quality ESG disclosures aligned with leading frameworks and evolving regulations. You will bring subject matter expertise on key sustainability topics and contribute strategic insight while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ESG information is well-aligned with regulatory requirements, standards and the company’s broader sustainability objectives. This role plays a critical part in advising on data robustness and disclosure readiness, ensuring BRP continues to meet the highest standards of ESG transparency and credibility in a dynamic regulatory environment.YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Sustainability Subject Matter ExpertiseWork cross-functionally to facilitate Global targets execution in sustainability impact areas: energy efficiency, waste management, circular economy, sustainable packaging, and transport-related emissions, etc.Participate in the corporate decarbonization strategies and track progress of relevant KPIs.Assist with supplier engagement initiatives by providing guidance on reporting expectations.ESG Reporting and AnalyticsDraft ESG disclosures aligned with major frameworks and standards, ratings, and regulations.Write and synthesize to transform technical content into clear and compelling reports.Provide guidance on ESG data governance best practices and audit trail expectations in regulated environments.Support with certifications and provide expertise of their role in sustainability credibility.Monitor emerging ESG regulations and disclosure trends to support internal alignment and readiness.Contribute to materiality assessments, peer benchmarking, and ESG risk/opportunity mapping.Stakeholder CollaborationCommunicate and collaborate, work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Compliance, Communications teams.Support audit and assurance readiness for ESG disclosures or regulatory filings.Interpret and communicate ESG metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.Support the preparation and delivery of educational material on environmental sustainability to various audiences internally and externally.Support the maintenance and use of ESG reporting tools and systems for accurate data aggregation and disclosure.YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:3–5 years of experience in ESG reporting, carbon accounting, or sustainability-related roles.BSc in data-related fields: Environmental Science, Data Science, IT, or Economics.Experience supporting sustainability certifications (e.g. ISO, BCorp, LEED) and regulatory readiness (e.g. CSRD, California SB 253/SB261); strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, CDP, TCFD, ISSB) and GHG Protocol.Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver high-quality, accurate outputs.Excellent writing, analytical and research skills; capable of synthesizing technical content for reports and sustainability action plans.Subject matter knowledge in energy efficiency, circularity, decarbonization strategies, waste management, packaging, and related sustainability topics.Ability to manage tasks within cross-functional projects and work in evolving environments.Proficient in Excel and familiar with ESG software platforms; experience with Power BI is an asset.Fully bilingual in French and English to communicate to internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec on a daily basis; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.Do you have other qualifications?
