In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to prepare PSP Investments’ annual report, which will include sustainability information for the first time in 2026Review, research, and document Canadian Sustainability Disclosure Standards (CSDS) and market practices to support their implementation in the preparation of PSP Investments’ annual report, in collaboration with the Director and internal stakeholdersWork with the Director to develop and update the Policies, based on CSDS analysis, market practices, and PSP Investments’ disclosure strategyContribute to the preparation of PSP Investments’ and CGF’s quarterly and annual disclosures to enhance the maturity of financial and sustainability reportingParticipate in the design, update, and maintenance of processes and controls related to the preparation of the annual report, ensuring efficient use of team resourcesAssist in preparing and delivering training sessions for internal stakeholders on relevant topics related to the PoliciesAct as PSP Investments’ internal expert on financial and sustainability disclosure mattersIn your role, you will also be responsible for establishing and updating CGF’s accounting policies and, when necessary, supporting these activities for PSP Investments.Review, research, and document new IFRS accounting standards and present them to the Director to support implementationConduct quarterly and annual reviews of CGF’s financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and discuss potential improvements with the DirectorReview complex investment transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment. Suggest changes to accounting policies and internal processes, where applicable, to improve information quality and efficiencyHandle ad hoc requests from internal collaborators and ensure a proper understanding of operational needs by meeting with relevant stakeholders when necessary, aligning their needs with IFRS requirements and industry practicesParticipate, if needed, in technical discussions on accounting or reporting issues raised by internal or external auditors, or present the Team’s position during such discussionsAssist the Director in establishing and maintaining a collaborative network with external peers to facilitate benchmarking of financial statements and establish market practicesFor all the above responsibilities, memos are the primary and official documents that record issues, analyses, and accounting conclusionsWHAT YOU’LL NEEDBachelor’s degree in accountingChartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designationAt least ten (10) years of recent experience in financial accounting within publicly accountable enterprises and strong expertise in complex accounting issues, or equivalent experience in one of the Big Four audit firmsExperience in researching and documenting accounting issues with references to IFRS.Knowledge of CSDS or equivalent standards (an asset)Experience in the financial or asset management sector (an asset)Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly regarding financial instruments and fair valueProven analytical skills and attention to detailProven ability to learn and understand complex technical information within a reasonable timeframeInitiative and resourcefulness in proposing solutions to various accounting-related issuesStrong ability to work independently with minimal supervisionDynamic and focus on results and client serviceTeamwork skills and project management capabilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex accounting informationBilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)We offer a tailored employee experience and competitive total rewards and benefits package* designed to attract and retain global diverse talent, reward performance, and reinforce business strategies and priorities.
