Black & McDonald's Projects team is growing! We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and communicative Project Coordinator to join our Saskatoon team. The ideal candidate excels at follow-up, keeps multiple moving pieces organized, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.Project Coordinators assist with overall project performance from start to finish, ensuring alignment with schedule, specifications, and budget. They support cost, schedule, safety, and quality control while maintaining accurate project documentation and keeping the Project Managers / Division Manager informed.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in planning and preparing schedules and milestones using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project), including ongoing progress monitoring and updates.
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company policies, and contract requirements.
- Maintain accurate and current departmental databases and records.
- Lead document control activities, including formatting, organizing, tracking, distributing, and archiving project documentation.
- Proactively follow up on tasks, deliverables, and commitments to ensure timely completion.
- Create and manage Excel-based trackers and reporting dashboards to support data-driven decision making. Prepare clear and concise project status reports.
- Support preparation and administration of contracts; assist in negotiating revisions and changes.
- Assist in budget analysis, cost tracking, margin projections, and change impact estimates.

- A degree or diploma in one of the following is considered an asset:
- Project Management
- Construction Engineering Technology
- Construction Management
- Engineering
- Business
- 2-5 years of project coordination experience (construction industry preferred)
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects is an asset
- Proficient user of MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Project
- Strong document control and organization
- Proficient user of construction management software (e.g., Procore)
- Understanding of contract management, procurement, and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and MEP designs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites around Saskatoon
