Branksome Hall, a leading independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offers remarkable Day Camps during the summer. Join our dynamic team, on a picturesque 13-acre campus in the heart of Toronto utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities. We provide high-quality, comprehensive programming for over 1,400 campers aged 4 to 14, spanning Arts, Sports, STEM, Swim and Leadership Camps. As part of our camp team, you make a difference by creating opportunities for fun, friendships, and skill development!The Opportunity:We’re looking for an engaging Dance Program Specialist to join our team!As a Dance Program Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall leadership of the dance programming for our specific Dance Camps, and other camp groups where dance may be a component of the program (e.g Girls Zone). The Dance Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all details and logistics of each dance program block with each Group Lead, as well as the Dance Showcase at the end of each week with all camp staff.The Dance Specialist will demonstrate their responsibility, dedication, good judgement and enthusiasm to ensure a safe and fun environment for all members of our community.Term Details:Mandatory Training Dates: June 6, June 13 & June 15, 2026Work Term: June 22 - August 21, 2026Hours: Part-time at 16 hours per week, Suggested schedule as follows, which may be adjusted:Mondays - 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.Tuesdays - 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Thursdays - 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.Fridays - 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.Camp Closures: July 1st, 2026 and August 3rd, 2026Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Creative Direction: Create lesson plans that include, warm ups, technical skill progression and original choreography tailored to different age groups and ability levels.Event Coordination: Lead the logistics and execution of our Weekly Dance Showcase, collaborating with camp staff to ensure a professional and exciting performance for the whole camp.Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and inspire camp staff within each dance block, and provide them with the tools and support needed to continue the dance programming when you are not leading instruction. You’ll delegate tasks to keep engagement high and provide both verbal feedback and written evaluations to help staff grow.Logistics: Coordinate lesson blocks with Group Leads and manage equipment/supply requests through the Arts Program Area Lead. Support Afternoon Pick-up procedures.Camper Experience: Act as a positive role model, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enthusiastic environment where campers feel confident to express themselves.Qualifications and Experience:Related training/education in various types of DanceCamp experience or experience leading dance programs for children/youthCurrent Standard First Aid/CPR certification required before start of campStrong leadership skills developed through progressively responsible experience in a leadership roleExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble to bring enthusiasm and encouragement to campersAbility to take charge, problem solve and motivate othersAbility to work with and lead a wide variety of ages and demographic groupsWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:Able to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditionsLifting and moving camp equipment and supplies from one location to anotherWalking and/or standing for long periods of time (3+ hours at a time, 7+ hours per day)Compensation & Benefits:Hourly pay rate ranges from $22.00 - $25.00, depending on experienceDaily lunch, snacks and morning coffee/tea providedUse of campus fitness roomMentorship from the Camps Leadership teamAn amazing summer with a supportive team, filled with fun opportunities of leadership development and growthHow to Apply:If you thrive working in a team environment and want to have a rewarding summer working with children, please apply by submitting your application to our careers page.Please name any document you are uploading during the application process with your First and Last Name and type of document (eg: resume, cover letter).Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all positions are filled.
