Event Accountant job opening in the Greater Toronto Area (primarily remote but must reside in the GTA for some on-site requirements)Adecco Professional is currently partnering with a client to hire for an Event Accountant job opening in Toronto, ON - note that this role is primarily remote however you may be required to go to event locations at times. This exciting opportunity will have your working a variety of day-to-day accounting functions while getting involved in various event-related specific tasks for the next 10-12+ months. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years' experience working in a bookkeeper or accountant position combined with a flexible and can-do personality. If this sounds like you, read on to learn more!As a key member of North America accounting team, you will help with daily accounting functions where your responsibilities may include but not be limited to:· Financial Management: Oversee the financial processes for assigned events, including tracking revenues, managing expenses, and ensuring financial compliance with company standards.
· Budget Creation & Monitoring: Collaborate with event teams to develop budgets for each event, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and resources, while closely monitoring financial progress throughout the event lifecycle.
· Invoice Management: Review, process, and track invoices related to event expenses, ensuring all charges are accurately documented and processed for timely payment.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses for internal stakeholders, highlighting key financial insights and potential risks related to event operations.
· Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts at the conclusion of each event, ensuring all financial data is accurate and finalized within the required timelines.
· Audit Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to event finances, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
