- Prepare and process billing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis to maintain financial accuracy.
- Record journal entries and maintain detailed financial records.
- Process and post incoming payments while verifying invoice and payment details.
- Generate and maintain backup documentation for invoices and financial reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to verify fee structures and update terms as needed.
- Prepare monthly reports on accounts receivable, including aging reports and delinquent account details.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.
- Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including credit reporting agencies and collection services.
- A college or university degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas and data analysis tools.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, particularly in billing and accounts receivable.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, with PeopleSoft experience considered an asset.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Currently pursuing a CPA designation or similar accounting certification (preferred).
