- Work in a clean, safe, and organized manner, following the guidelines outlined in the Health and Safety Program.
- Verify and identify materials for size, shape, and type to ensure they align with engineering drawings and instructions.
- Operate manual milling machines, manual lathes, grinders, drill press and machine shop equipment to manufacture machined components.
- Use of precision measuring tools (calipers and micrometers)
- Utilize measuring and checking skills to verify that all machined components meet blueprint dimensions.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Participate in finishing details and material preparation.
- Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives within specified timeframes.
- Complete inspection reports before removing the job from the machine.
- Arrive promptly for work, meetings, and other work-related functions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of manual Mill and Lathe experience
- Be mechanically inclined
- Experience with the following materials - stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper.
- Ability to use machine shop related measuring instruments - micrometers, calipers, height gauges, tape measure, etc.
- Ability to provide design consideration for new product development
- Knowledge of G&M codes
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong math and measurement capabilities
- Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings
- Proficient navigating and utilizing SolidWorks for 3D modeling
