World RenewPosition DescriptionPosition Title: Strategic Partnerships Manager (Foundations, Trusts, and Corporations)Department: Transformational DevelopmentReports to: Head of Transformational DevelopmentStatus: Full-time, exemptLocation: Burlington, Ontario OR Byron Center, Michigan (hybrid work okay)PURPOSE:This position will increase revenue for World Renew's international development programs by engaging in networking and establishing connections and relationships with charitable foundations, trusts, and corporations; developing concept notes, expressions of interest and full proposal applications in response to funding opportunities. This will be supported by increasing World Renew's visibility; identifying grant funding opportunities; developing concept notes, expressions of interest and full proposal applications; and creating and deepening collaborative funding relationships with likeminded international development organizations. Prospecting: Network and establish connections and relationships with new prospects for grant funding focusing on charitable foundations, trusts, and corporations.2. Fund Acquisition: Apply for grants from charitable foundations, trusts, and corporations to finance World Renew's international development programsa. Lead proposal development—in collaboration with field staff, the Finance Team (Finance Program Manager), and others—ensuring that high-quality standards are met and that applications are responsive to the stated interests of the donor and the requirements of the Request for Applications (RFA)b. Stay informed of World Renew programs and field office priorities and communicate appropriately with regional team leaders and field offices to ensure that funding requests align with regional and country program priorities and the funding priorities of the organizationc. Lead proposal development—in collaboration with field staff, the Finance Team, and others—to ensure applications are responsive to the stated interests of the donor and competitived. Stay informed of World Renew programs and field office priorities and communicate appropriately with regional team leaders and field offices to ensure that funding requests align with regional and country program priorities and the funding priorities of the organizatione. Ensure good coordination of the proposal development process using recognized project management approaches such as developing RACI charts and project charters; setting-up calendars and assigning tasks to collaborators; organizing meetings as needed to share information and make decisions; and ensuring adherence to the schedule and organizational guidelines and policiesf. Liaise between grant making institutions and others within World Renew to communicate the requirements for specific grants receivedg. Seek funding from other institutional donors and partners as assignedh. Work with other grant staff to provide surge support in times of heavy grant proposal writing and/or reporting as approved by supervisor3. Program Design: Provide results-based management (RBM) support to ministry teams for grant program developmenta. Develop performance measurement frameworks and logic models which align with donor requirementsb. Review program theories of changec. Advise on the selection of strong indicators4. Increase collaborative funding opportunities: network and establish connections and relationships with new prospects for grant funding focusing on likeminded international development organizations to identify potential consortium partnership opportunities.5. Work with Ministry Teams and/or individual countries as assigned to develop local funding strategies and broader grant-funding strategies.6. Facilitate/provide training and competency development for peers and/or Ministry Team staff in prospecting and developing team/country funding strategies.7. Support and strengthen local capacity building of program staff in grant acquisition, proposal development and overall grant management.8. Attend and participate in meetings of the PE team and contribute to a team culture of mutual support, accountability and learning9. Perform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS1. Demonstrated computer literacy and experience using Google and Microsoft SuiteSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will maintain contractual agreements with consultants as needed.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE1. A Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.2. At least three years of technical experience in grants required.3. Professional certificate(s) and/or license(s) in Project Management preferred.4. Two years' experience in international community development and/or disaster response preferred.5.
