
Manufacturing Sr. Finance Analyst

- Ensure all company financial policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Provide timely and accurate daily and weekly cost reporting to the plant leadership team.
- Provide timely and accurate weekly and monthly forecasts for plant results.
- Lead period-end close activities at the plant.
- Identify, recommend, and support cost improvement opportunities.
- Play an integral role in the development of new product costing (from development to launch) and ensure current standard costs accurately reflect the manufacturing process.
- Analyze overhead spending and provide management with information to support future spending decisions.
- Support the capital expenditure process by ensuring that capital expenditure requests contain pertinent financial analysis and qualitative support, and by tracking related cost savings.
- Lead the plant budget process and partner with plant leadership to ensure the budget is complete, accurate and on time.
- Ensure that accounting procedures adhere to IFRS and approved corporate policies.
- Ensure that inventory and purchasing procedures are in control and perform quarterly self-testing.
- Provide guidance and coaching to non-finance managers regarding issues of financial control and compliance.
- Post Secondary Education in a finance/business related program required
- 2+ years of progressive manufacturing costing experience in an ERP environment (SAP preferred)
- Actively working towards a professional accounting designation program (CPA,CGA, CA, CMA)
- Ability to work independently
