- Evaluate and enhance programs designed to increase resident involvement
- Ensure personal professional development and compliance with mandatory training and certifications for both oneself and the team
- Lead and improve the welcome program for new residents, facilitating their integration and sense of belonging within the community
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local entities, vendors, and contractors to support and enrich resident engagement and wellness
- Record and document discussions during town hall and resident council meetings
- Create and distribute the monthly schedule of community events and a newsletter for residents and their families
- Develop and implement programs in line with guidelines and brand standards
- Grow and oversee a dynamic volunteer program for in-person and remote volunteers, including student internships
- Possess a degree or diploma in a field related to aging and wellness, such as Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, or Health Sciences
- Bring at least one year of experience in developing programs for seniors, whether in independent living, assisted living, or community center environments
- Have a minimum of one year in a management or supervisory role
- Certified, or willing to become certified within the first 60 days of employment, to teach group land fitness and aquatic fitness classes for seniors, as recognized by the organization
- Hold a valid driver's license, with the readiness to obtain a special class license within six months of employment if required, complemented by a clean driving record
- Currently certified in CPR and First Aid
- Certificate in Smart Serve/Serving It Right (or willingness and ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as virtual technologies such as Zoom/Teams etc.
- Additional certifications (i.e. specialized fitness, dementia training etc.) considered a valuable asset
