Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.About the EngagementAkkodis is seeking a highly experienced Senior Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist to support complex information management, privacy, and digital health initiatives within the public sector. The successful consultant will lead privacy impact assessments, provide deep subject-matter expertise on PHI, guide risk management activities, and advise on privacy compliance across large health-related IT programs.ScopeDevelop comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) on proposed solutions, systems, and business processes.Lead the design and development of access/privacy tools for digital and data initiatives.Facilitate privacy discussions across multi-disciplinary stakeholders (business, IT, legal, privacy offices).Analyze program, policy, and system proposals to assess business flows and PHI protection requirements.Assignment DeliverablesStatus reporting for governance bodies, working groups, and advisory panels.Privacy compliance gap assessments with recommended mitigations.Stakeholder engagement artifacts, reports, and privacy analysis summaries.Briefing notes, communication materials, and presentations for senior leaders.Expertise RequiredMust Have:10+ years of experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and applying privacy methodologies, tools, and techniques.Experience with public-sector health projects and large, complex I&IT environments.Proven ability to manage privacy risks in the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of Personal Health Information (PHI).Expertise in threat/risk assessment, program analysis, and business analysis.Experience developing privacy policies, frameworks, and compliance strategies.Ability to produce high-quality reports, briefing materials, stakeholder analyses, and privacy documentation.Nice to Have:Prior experience supporting Electronic Health Records (EHR) or data-sharing agreements.Knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) and advanced mitigation strategies.Security ClearanceRequired.ImportantThis is a business-to-business engagement.
