- Develop and deliver technical solutions and projects to our risk assessment clients;
- Conduct human health and ecological risk assessments under international, federal, and provincial guidance and regulations;
- Complete risk assessments following jurisdictional guidance and/or standards of best practice including the development of a conceptual site model, exposure and risk characterization calculations and report preparation;
- Mentor and develop junior staff in risk assessment fundamentals;
- Be an emerging leader in the risk assessment community;
- Develop and implement a strategy with other team members to grow the risk assessment business; and
- Work with other innovative thinkers to cultivate business development opportunities.
- University degree in toxicology, engineering or science (graduate degree is preferred);
- Minimum of 5- years post degree experience in risk assessment;
- Considered a Qualified Person for Risk Assessment (QPRA) in Ontario;
- Demonstrated success completing human and ecological risk assessments under O. Reg 153/04 and federal guidelines such as FCSAP and developing Risk Management Plans;
- Accomplished at using spreadsheets to coalesce and evaluate complex datasets and develop exposure models;
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written);
- Excellent quantitative skills;
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail; and
- Experience training and mentoring staff on projects.
