
Cost Accountant

- Collaborate with operations management to advise on and improve operational processes.
- Present and analyze monthly manufacturing performance results.
- Conduct monthly actual vs. plan variance analysis.
- Evaluate product costing, including variances related to purchased and manufactured goods.
- Support the transition to a standard costing environment.
- Perform and report on periodic inventory audits (Work-in-Process, Finished Goods, Raw Materials).
- Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for accuracy and efficiency.
- Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of manufacturing and financial reporting.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance and US GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems and solid knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
- Demonstrated expertise in standard costing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Skilled in analyzing large data sets and operational metrics
- Ability to relate manufacturing activities to financial results.
- Track record of delivering actionable insights and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
